DESCRIPTION

Front pneumatic leaf remover, 6 rotors, movements with electro-hydraulic joystick, compressor unit in the back of the tractor on the 3-point hitching. New split head in order to adapt at the best for all working conditions. Availability of bigger nozzles in order to work at 2,5 Km/h of speed, reducing fuel consumption.

DESCRIPTION

The Olmi deleafer model VORTEX has been designed especially to ensure an effective and targeted removal of the unnecessary leaves in apple orchards, without harming the apple tree. VORTEX is based on the Precision Air Stream Technology, developed in more than 20 years of experience in vineyard deleafing. This system is characterized by the emission of an adjustable low pressure air flow delivered through the rotating disc nozzles.

Besides deleafing, VORTEX also enables to blow away possible hidden impurities ( nests, pests) reducing the discards during the fruit processing phase. Targeted deleafing operated by VORTEX considerably increases apple’s sunlight exposure and proved to be particularly effective in improving the colour intensity especially on red varieties, such as: Pink Lady, Fuji, Gala, Kanzi, Ambrosia, Rosy Glow, RockIt, Evelina, El Star...

USE

During the maturation process (from 25 to 7days before harvest): the removal of the leaves allows to increase the colour percentage and so of the apple’ s quality, with consequent financial benefit.
